Who is Griffin Adelmann? Griffin Adelmann is a privacy broker based in New York, NY. He is Founding Partner and Intelligence Specialist at Adelmann Cybersecurity and CTO and co-founder of Gravitas Technologies Inc.
A privacy broker uncovers what the internet knows about a person and makes it less useful to anyone who wishes them harm. The rest of this page is in my own words.
What I do
At Adelmann Cybersecurity I am the intelligence specialist. I find where a client is exposed, then work to remove it, bury it or make it unreliable. The firm serves private clients: families, executives and public figures. See the work page.

How I got here
I started on the attacker's side. At fourteen I hacked windows 10 just to get around parental controls and reported the exploit to Microsoft, who called me back to fix it. In high school I broke into my cybersecurity instructor's WordPress site, with permission, and added 20,000 points to my team's score. We ended up back at zero. Both stories are written up in full: the Windows bug and the WordPress class.
Before that came a Lego robotics club, an origami business that made $14, and a Raspberry Pi car with a phone duct-taped to it. That is in the origin story. I also automated a city's property data aggregation (story) and rebuilt a startup's frontend (story).
I explain defense by walking through how the attacker thinks. The clearest example is How Kidnappers Choose Their Targets.
Education and certifications
I studied business administration at Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business, with concentrations in IT consulting and in process and quality analytics. Certifications: Google Cybersecurity, IBM Data Analytics, Cisco Networking Academy, Google Project Execution and Bloomberg Market Concepts. I would rather you judge me by my accomplishments, not silly digital certificates.
